Daycare

Allie started Daycare on February 21. The first couple weeks of dropoff were pretty tough, but then I learned I needed to have her walk in with me. So now she walks in holding my hand and she's happy as can be! She really loves her daycare and her teacher and her new friends. She has learned SO MUCH since starting. She came home just a week or so after she started singing songs and her vocabulary has exploded. She now can speak full conversations with us and it is just amazing.

Allie turned 2 on March 6. We had her birthday party at our house on Saturday March 5. We had about 40 people here and it turned out really well. All the kids played in the backyard most of the time and seemed to have fun. Allie got some great gifts. It was just a great day.

We had a late Christmas with David's family. His little sister had the flu over Christmas, so we had our celebration on January 1.
We had another snow January 10. Craziness. We never have this much snow!!

December 2010... I had this written last month, but never got to add pictures and post it. So I am adding more from the rest of December.

Allie and I went to paint pottery with some girlfriends in November. Here is her pretty ornament.

My grandma, Allie's great grandma, bought Allie her Christmas stocking for Christmas. Angels are close to our family, because my mom loved angels. RIP momma.

We set up Allie's big girl bed in her room. Thought we would get her used to the bed, and maybe try it out. We've tried it a couple times because she's asked to sleep in it, and it hasn't worked yet. Lol. Not quite ready. But it's pretty cute!
Some more updates...
- Allie is speaking so well. Her vocabulary amazes us every single day. She now is having conversations, and speaking sentences. She told me the other day "Mommy, I'll be back in a minute". Then on her way back down the hall, she said "Mommy, I'm coming". Too cute.
- She says well over 100 words, I'm sure. I have lost count.
- I doubt she weighs more then 24 lbs. She's petite.
- She's wearing 24 months/2T shirts. And 24 month pants (but most are still too long on her).
- She still loves bathtime.
- Every night before bed, I carry her around and she gives kisses to... Daddy, Lacey, Abby and her horse.
- Probably 1 out of 3 nights, she wakes up in the middle of the night and cries for a little bit.
- Most nights she goes to bed, no tears. She has a waterfall soother in her crib and she will turn it on 2-3 times (it runs for 10 minutes, then turns off) before falling asleep.
- Allie LOVES the Christmas tree and lights. Every day when we get home, she says "Mommy, tree on... Mommy, bear on... Mommy, star on". And we go around and turn everything on.

Wow. A lot to catch up on. I can't update my blog from work anymore, so it's been a while.

Here are some pictures of Allie and her friends. Our friend Jenny watches Allie during the week. Her son is Ayo. And she watches her neighbor, Sarah's daughter Brinley some days. I took a day off work and watched the kiddos because Jenny and Sarah had something they needed to do for the day.

We bought Allie a small Christmas tree for her room. She LOVES it.

Here's a few pictures of us at the Christmas Parade. David was in the parade with the Search and Rescue Squad. So it was just me and Allie.

We had a great Thanksgiving. We cook at our house, and my brother Corey and his wife Katie come and stay a few days. My dad comes also. We made way too much food, but everything was yummy!!

On Friday after Thanksgiving we have another meal with our neighbors.

I love Shutterfly. I have used Shutterfly for all my picture needs for years. We upload pictures on our Share Site for friends and family to see, I order photobooks of my daughter, prints, wall calenders, Christmas cards... everything from Shutterfly. I've always wanted a canvas wall hanging, but haven't taken the plunge yet. The fact that I can order prints and pick them up at my local Target is wonderful. Prices are great, the site and so easy to use, there are so many different choices for backgrounds, cards, etc.

Halloween!

I took Allie to the downtown Candy Crawl on Friday. Then we went Trick or Treating last night on Halloween. She was such a cute bumblebee! And she was so good and really enjoyed it. She would walk up to the people and hold out her bucket, we couldn't get her to say Trick or Treat... but she would always say Thank You and Bye Bye. Too cute.

And yes, she is teething, her hands are always in her mouth. Her canines are cutting through, all 4 of them!

Anniversary Surprise

David told me on my birthday that he was planning an Anniversary Surprise and I was supposed to buy a dress. So my friend Mandy shopped with me for a dress and new shoes. Saturday, October 9 was the day. Mandy came over and got me ready, did my hair and makeup! Such a good friend!

Anyways, a Hummer limo pulled up. I had no clue!! The driver opened the door and didn't know the 2 people I saw, so I was confused. I got in and everyone yelled Happy Anniversary! It was my neighbors (like my adopted family) and their whole family. It was not really just for me. It was Marty's birthday and Inge's birthday. We were heading to South Charlotte to the Waldhorn restaurant for Oktoberfest! It was a lot of fun. We have great friends, and we had a great time!!

Visit from GiGi

My grandmother came from PA to visit last weekend. She loves her great granddaughter. Allie calls her GiGi. It is too cute. GiGi spoils Allie. She had an early Christmas. She got a "hobby horse" as GiGi calls it and a new train set. It was a nice visit. Allie was way off with napping all weekend, but luckily bounced back.

Allie and I went swimming next door on Sunday after Grandmother left. It was COLD out, but the pool is heated. It was nice, but then Allie got tired from boycotting her naps. Here is my diva. She wanted her boots, nothing else. Lol.

Oh and Allie is a dancing queen. I will be posting a cute video shortly.

County Fair

We went to the Cabarrus County Fair last Friday evening. We basically just saw the animals, did the petting zoo, ate yummy (bad) food, and walked around and saw the lights. No rides this year. Allie loved it though, she really loved feeding the goats. But then a goat bit her hand, she got over it and was petting them again. I only took pics of her with the animals, forgot about the camera the rest of the time.

18 Months Old

18 Months Old

My Allie girl is 1.5 years old. Wow.

She is such an amazing girl.
She is so happy, so fun and the sweetest little thing ever.

Here is what she’s been up to…
* She is a cuddle bug. We cuddle every night after bath and it is the best part of my day.
* She loves her bath. She plays, and blows bubbles and pretends to wash herself.
* She loves to play with her Little People farm. She knows the cow (Moo!), pig, duck, and doggie.
* She still loves reading books. She will bring me a book and sit in my lap and have me read it over and over again.
* If she wants her diaper changed, or I ask her for a diaper, she will run to her room and bring me a diaper back. Then lay down on the floor and let me change her. She says “Diaper” in the cutest way… with a southern accent almost. So cute.
* She loves her doggies, Abby and Lacey. Every morning when she wakes up, she wants to see them right away.
* The way she runs is ADORABLE.
* She is saying over 50 words!! Here are most of them… Hi, daddy, mommy, bye bye, thank you, lacey, abby, ball, hungry, all done, juice, bird, bath, brush, ear, nose, eyes, hair, tickle tickle, poop, potty, cracker, night night, nap, bear, puppy, doggie, kitty cat, chip, ayo (friend’s little boy), outside, uh oh, no no, yes (she shakes her head yes, or says uh huh), cup, duck, bunny, plane (airplane), jack (friend's dog), jill (friend's dog), jump, baby, bubbles, balloon, book, hat, car, door, ding dong (when she rings her playhouse doorbell), dinner, swing, on, off, cheese, bow, pretty, eww, ouch, wash, water…
* She gets her bath at 7:30, plays in the bath, we do a lotion massage, get her in her pjs, sit on the couch with milk and watch tv. She will usually play a little after her milk. Then she starts puckering up (for a kiss) and looks for daddy. She kisses daddy goodnight, then mommy, then I take her in and put her in her crib. This is how I know that it’s bedtime (always right around 9pm). I lay her down, cover her up and turn on her rainforest soother.* She sleeps from about 9-7ish. Naps usually 2-3 hours, once a day around 1pm.
* She LOVES to swim. We got her a new float, a Puddle Jumper. And it gives her so much freedom and she loves it. She can swim away from me, or after me and thinks that is great! Will post a video.
* She loves to swing and slide. Love to play outside.
* She eats really well… basically whatever we eat, she eats. She tells us when she is “hungry” and ready for “dinner”.

She had her 18 month appointment this morning. She is 23.5 lbs and 31 inches tall. She is a pettite girl! The pediatrician was very pleased with her. He said she is more like a 2 year old... with her talking, running, climbing, throwing her leg over her crib rail, saying Poop and Potty and knowing what they mean, asking to sit on the potty, etc.

For the past 3 weeks or so, a girl in my neighborhood Kelley has been watching Allie. Kelley has a 1 year old little girl, Lily. They played really well. Kelley and her mom took the girls to the park last week and took some pictures. Here's some pictures of their time at the park!

Father's Day

I am able to get on from work!!! Don't think this will happen again though. But thought I would update while I can!

Allie is just about 16 months now. She is such a great kid. She is so much fun.

Allie is talking up a storm. Some of the words she says are Abby, Lacey, Daddy, Thank you, bubble, ball, balloon, tickle, nose, eyes, bath, juice, dance, baby. Along with all the other words I've posted.

She knows where her nose, eyes, mouth, hair, toes, hands, tounge are.

She loves being tickled.

If we say Allie is 1, she puts up 1 finger.

If we tell her no, she shakes her head and says "No, No".

She loves the dogs. Every time she sees one, she says their name and wants to pet them.

She still loves swimming. She is just a natural.

If I tell her, "Let's go get a new diaper" or "Let's get dressed", she will walk to her room and stop at her changing table.

She will dance when we say "Dance". She will wiggle when we say "Wiggle".

Her hair is still growing! It is so pretty.

She tells us "Night-Night". She now goes to bed awake, and we usually don't hear a peep from her once I lay her down. She is usually sleeping from about 8:30-7 and takes a 2 hour nap during the day.

She has 8 teeth (her 4 top front teeth and 4 bottom front teeth). Her bottom 1 year molars are working their way through, I can see and feel them.

She loves babies. We were grocery shopping in Target last night and we went to the toy section. She saw the babies and kept saying "Baby, baby". So I bought her her first baby doll!

In other exciting news, Allie and I are flying to PA to visit family and some friends in 2 weeks. David doesn't have any vacation days, so it's just the 2 of us. I am very nervous and excited too. Should be interesting!! But I am very excited for Allie to FINALLY meet my best friend, and her daughter... along with my aunt and her daughter. Very exciting!

13 and 14 Months

I wrote the 13 month post in my email at 13 months, but I haven't gotten on here since then! I really wish I could get to my blog from work... it would be up to date!

13 months old... April 6, 2010

Some tidbits about my 13 month old...

- No more bottles! Allie has a sippy of milk when she wakes up in the morning and a sippy of milk before bed. Probably 6-8 oz each.
- She loves juice. She will have 3-4 sippy cups of 1/2 apple juice, 1/2 water every day!
- Bathtime is now at 7:30, she is usually asleep by 8:30.
- Sleeping from 8:30-7:30. She still wakes and cries sometimes, but we usually let her cry.
- She is a mover in her sleep. This child moves all around her crib, I have no idea how she will ever move to a bed!
- Mac&cheese and green beans is Allie's usual lunch.
- She will eat what we eat for dinner mostly.
- She says hi, bye, daddy, ball and balloon (she says balloon the funniest way... gotta catch it on video).
- She waves and claps
- She knows where her head, belly, nose, and mouth are. And she knows where mommy/daddy's nose is.
- She loves the dogs. She will chase them and play with them forever. And laughs the whole time!

- Allie loves to swim. We swam Saturday, she wasn't quite sure at first, but started to enjoy it. Sunday she was jumping in! She will walk to the edge, curl her toes around, I put my arms up for her and she just jumps right in my arms.
- She is seriously the happiest kid ever. She is always smiling, playing, laughing. She is so.much.fun.
- Her hair is now more then halfway down her back, when it is wet. When it is dry, it has the cutest curls.
- Her eyes are still green with brown on the inside. I guess hazel? They are gorgeous.
- She loves reading books. She will disappear to her room and come back with a book and she will sit and listen. She will sit through 6 books at a time. She loves it.
- She loves the sliding board. She will go down time after time after time. She says "wee!" while going down it.

14 Months Old... May 6, 2010

- Allie has really started talking lately. Mostly things only we would understand, but other people can make some words out too! She says hi, daddy, mommy, ball, bubble, Abby (our cocker spaniel's name), balloon, bear, doggie, thank you.
- She knows where her head, belly, toes, nose, eyes, and mouth are. She knows mommy and daddy's eyes and nose too.
- Still a really good eater.
- She loves cuddling with her stuffed animals. She has a little bear and puppy in her crib and looks for them if they are missing from the crib. She cuddles them and says "awww".
- She is a monkey. She climbs up the highchair, the couches, the sliding board. She knows how to get herself down safely too.
- She gives the BEST hugs and kisses.
- Such a silly kid. She dances all the time. Walks around in circles and makes herself dizzy. Laughs and smiles all the time.
- Still loves swimming. Now I can put my hand under her belly and she kicks her legs and moves her arms like she is trying to swim. It is precious. She splashes and blows bubbles.
- We are truly the luckiest parents. Allie is such a sweet, lovable girl. We are so blessed.

Allie's party was on her birthday. It was realy nice outside, so we had some tables in the garage and the door open. Soo many people came, but we couldn't have not invited anyone!! I think Allie was a little overwhelmed at first, but she was better pretty quick! My friend, Jana decorated Allie's cake. It was soo pretty. David's mom brought a cake for David Sr, David and Allie. It was cute! Allie got way too many gifts, but very appreciated. Some things she got... a wagon, lots of clothes, a couple toys, bath letters, bath crayons, some books, 2 adorable bathing suits and much more! I just wanted to post some pictures! Sorry, there's a lot!

This post is 8 days late...

Wow. Only 1 month left until Allie is 1 year old. I cannot believe it. Time has gone so fast!

Allie is so much fun right now.
She is walking all the time. She can stand up without pulling up on anything now.
She will wave and clap and David has taught her how to howl at the dogs.
Her top 2 middle teeth are still working their way out and it looks like she has 2 more teeth on the top about to break through.
She loves being tickled. She laughs and laughs!
Allie loves the dogs. She cuddles with Lacey all the time… because Abby won’t let her get that close. She brings the dogs their bones or toys.
She gives big kisses when you ask for them.
She was sleeping through the night pretty consistently… but now some nights she wakes 1-2 times… others she will sleep 10+ hours straight.
Some days she naps once, other days twice.
She still loves dancing.

Allie is an absolutely amazing little girl… and we are so lucky she is ours!

10 Months Old!

My baby girl is 10 months old! Only 2 more months... and she will be 1! I cannot believe it.

She is soo much fun now. She will repeat us if we say Mama, or Dada (most times).
She looves the dogs. She gives them kisses all the time. And loves to chase them and cuddle with them.
She is such a happy girl.
She loves all her new toys. She plays all the time.
She is very independent. She will play on her own for a long time.
She loves to dance. She will make her toys play music, and then rock side to side, dancing. It is precious.
Walking is fun. She will pull up on something, walk away, fall down, crawl back, pull up again and repeat.
If we are laughing, she will cackle back at us.
Still only has the bottom 2 teeth.
She loves to make the fart noise... with her mouth and toungue (I don't know how else to explain it!)

I really wish I could get on here more!

We had a great Christmas. Allie was so much fun and spoiled like crazy!

On December 12, we went to David's sister, Christa's house in Raleigh to celebrate with David's dad's side of the family. We had a great time.

Allie wanted the ornaments on the tree, since she could reach them!

So now on to 2010! 2009 was a great year, I'm excited for 2010! Happy New Year everyone!

Oh... Allie is taking lots of steps lately! She has taken up to 10 at a time! Very exciting. And she is so proud of herself!

My baby girl is 9 months old! She has been alive, longer then she was in my belly! Haha. It's getting very hard to get smiles when we want them!!

She is such a sweet girl.
She is crawling all over the place.
Pulls up on everything she can.
Just within the past couple days, she will pull up on things, then let go and just stand there all by herself!!
She laughs all the time.
We have been doing lots of table food, she loves green beans, mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, cauliflower.
She's still not sleeping through the night. She wakes up once or twice, hungry. We will be working on night weaning, once she gets over her stuffy nose.
Still only has her 2 bottom front teeth... but I think she may be teething, bc she has been chewing on everything she can get in her mouth!

Time gets away from me! We have been busy lately!

Allie has some new hats. A friend made them for her, I picked the colors! I love them! And she doesn't mind them at all.

Here is a sweet picture of Allie. I've been told this picture looks something like me!

Allie got to spend lots of time with her grandpa in the last couple weeks. My dad came over to tile our guest bathroom floor and help David work on his truck.

The Christmas Tree Lighting in Concord was November 20. So we took Allie to that. And she got to meet Santa Claus! And Mrs. Claus! Then we watched the fireworks and she loved them! She was talking to them when they would make noise. It was sweet. We went to the Christmas parade the next day.

We went to visit David's grandma this past week.

On Thanksgiving Day, we got our Christmas tree. We decorated it the next day with my brother Corey, and his wife Katie.

Thanksgiving Day we had dinner at our friends' house, Jenny and Bibi. Friday we had Thanksgiving at our house with my dad, his girlfriend, and Corey and Katie. Saturday we had another meal at our neighbor's house. It was a great long weekend! These pictures are from Friday.

Corey and Katie brought their dog, Tsuga, to visit. Tsuga loves Allie... and Allie loved her! They were playing together and I got some pictures. I know I went overboard, it was just too cute!

I know I say this every month... but Allie is growing so fast!!

Wow... another month. Can't believe my Allie is 7 months old! This past month has just been amazing. She is growing so fast!

Allie talks all the time... dada, mama, gaga, etc. It is sweet.

She is crawling all over the place. Now she will crawl to us, instead of just her toys!

Loves playing with her toys. She talks to them and just yells!

She loves the dogs, she pets them a lot! And they love her... well, Lacey does... she is always kissing Allie.

Allie is such a happy baby, we are so lucky. She never cries, unless something is really wrong or she's really hungry.

No teeth yet. But drooling like crazy!

Just today, after her nap... she was talking in her crib, and we went in to get her and she was on her knees holding onto the bar! Glad we lowered the crib mattress on Sunday!!

I seem to never find the time to update on here. I can't update it at work and I try to spend my evenings with Allie. So I have lots to update!

Allie loves her bathtime. I lay her on the mesh sling to wash her, then she sits up for a while playing with her toys and splashing!

Here are a couple more pictures of Allie on her hands and knees and her sitting up.

We started giving Allie crackers and she loves them. They keep her busy and she really loves them!

Here are pictures of her nursery. I know I have posted pictures before, but now it's pretty much done. I hung a couple more shelves, etc.

Allie was baptised at David's parents' church on September 13. She was an angel, she was so quiet and happy as can be. My brother, Corey and his wife, Katie are Allie's godparents. Here are a couple pics. including the cake I made and decorated! Mosquitos love Allie... so you will see her huge bite on her cheek.

My grandma came from NJ to visit last weekend. It was soo nice to see her and Allie really enjoyed it! Grandma brought books that was given to my little cousin Marissa, from my mom. She gave the books to Allie. Allie loves them, and that is special to me. We had such a great visit... it was too short though.

Allie had her 6 month doctor visit this past Monday... finally. She weighs 17 lb 9 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long. She's in the 75-90 percentile for height and 55 percentile for weight! She got 4 shots... poor girl. We'll have to go back in 30 days for the second dose of the flu shot (they split the dosage into 2 shots for babies).

I cannot believe my little girl is 6 months old. But then again, I cannot remember life without her… and wouldn’t have it any other way.

These monthly pictures are getting harder and harder to take!!

We went to visit my dad after church 2 weeks ago. He is living on the lake, so we took the boat out. We didn’t have a life vest for Allie, so we didn’t go far. But she LOVED being on the boat. I think she liked the breeze. She was squealing and laughing. She just loved it!

Allie is such a good baby. We are so lucky. She is always happy. She only cries when something is really wrong or she is overtired. She talks all the time, makes all kinds of noises... lots of dadas and mamas!! It is the sweetest thing ever. Allie loves to laugh. All we have to do is look at her funny... and it makes her laugh!

Here is a video from the other night. She was happy as could be! David was making steaks for dinner, so there is some video of that… he’s a goof.

Allie loves her baby food. I go home most every day and feed her lunch. She eats a whole container of fruit for lunch and a container of veggies for dinner. She really does well with it. The other day, I bought Gerber Graduates Puffs. We tried those and she liked them too! She didn’t know what it was at first, because it is hard… much different texture then she’s had before. But after she ate the first one, she kept opening her mouth for more! Again, David was making dinner, so there is some video of that…

Allie loves rolling over. Every time I put her on her changing table to change her diaper, she tries to roll over. It is so difficult!! She loves being on her belly. If I put her on the floor, when I turn around she is somewhere totally different. She either rolls there or scoots there! She is a mobile baby!!

She moves so much in her crib too. We put her with her toes touching the one side. When she wakes up, she is usually on the other side, turned around. She is wild. I want to bring her in bed with me some morning to sleep the last couple hours… but I am afraid she will fall off the bed. She does not stay in one place anymore!

The other night, I left Allie on the floor in the living room and went to the computer for a bit. It was really quiet out there, so I went to check on her… and she had turned around 180 degrees, and she had the blanket she was laying on, pulled up over her head! It was funny!

Last week, Allie started swaying side to side. She will be on the ground on her belly. She pushes up on her arms, and sways side to side. It is so funny.

She now sits up. We have to put her in that position, but she will stay sitting for a while, until she topples over!

Just the other day, she started getting on her knees. Then the next day, she would get on her knees and rock back and forth!! She’ll be crawling before we know it!!

We've also started introducing the sippy cup to Allie. She likes to chew on it. Sometimes she forgets there is water in there when it is tipped up and chokes... so we are pretty careful with it.

Missing you today, like always. You would be 46 today, and I cannot believe it has been 2 ½ years since you’ve been gone. Time goes too fast.

So much has happened in the last year, and I wish you could have been here with me. I really missed having you around when Allie was born. But you have the sweetest little granddaughter. I so wish you could have met her. You would be head over heals in love with her. She is a special little girl, and she will know you… I promise.

Crib, Church and Pigtails!!

Allie has been sleeping in the pack-n-play in our bedroom since she was 10 weeks old (before that, she slept on me on the couch or with me in bed). I loved her being right next to me and being able to hear all her little noises. Last weekend, she moved to her own bedroom in her crib! She had reached the weight limit in the basinett in the pack-n-play... so we decided it was time! I was worried she wouldn't sleep well and I would be up all night. But she did really well! Here is a pic her first night in her crib!

Allie went to church for the first time last weekend. We went to my dad's church, The Cove. It was really nice. Allie went to the nursery and seemed to do well. Here she is before church.

I tried pigtails in Allie's hair for the first time the other night. She looks so cute with them! And seems to like it... all the hair is out of her face!! She looks so much older then 5 1/2 months!!

And 2 nights ago, we moved Allie into her 6-9 month sleepers! She was too long for her 3-6 month sleepers. My little girl is getting so big! I bought this just last weekend and Allie loved all the monsters!

5 Months Old!

My Allie is 5 months old! Time really flies! I think I say that every month. But seriously... it does!

Things I want to remember at 5 months...

- Allie is rolling over like a Pro. It is really annoying at 4am when I am trying to change her diaper. But so cute!

- Loving baby food. She now eats a whole container, most times, at a sitting. Usually we do a veggie for lunch and a fruit for dinner. She does not care for peaches. Everything else she seems to like!

- She is LOVING her bathtime. We actually forgot our baby bathtub in Apex, and have been using the newborn mesh thing in the big tub. She loves it! She laughs and kicks and splashes. It is so sweet!

- We found the tickle-bug. Allie just started being ticklish last weekend. She will laugh when you get her on the side, lower belly and the feet. It is too sweet.

- Still waking up between 2-4 am to eat. She is definately hungry, so we won't be trying to break this. She eats a whole bottle, then goes back to sleep.

- Allie loves to stand. Sometimes we will put her feet on our feet and walk with her.

- She has recently found her thumb. We'd rather her not suck it, but it is pretty cute!

Apex visit

I had a workshop for work at NC State in Raleigh last Monday and Tuesday. David's sister lives 15 minutes from NC State in Apex. So we went to her house on Sunday and stayed til Tuesday. Christa, Lucy and Scott had only met Allie when she was just a few weeks old. So it was nice they got to see her again! And David's aunt, uncle and cousins... Cheryle, Sonny and Sally and Randy hadn't gotten to meet Allie yet (they also live in Apex). So we had a very nice visit.

Allie weighs 15 lb 5 oz... 25.5 inches long! 75 percentile for both! The doctor said she is just perfect and advancing really really well! She said her good looks are just icing on an already baked cake! Lol. Went really well.

David's sister, Christa, is so talented! She is very, very crafty. She took a pillow from Allie's room when she met her. She said she was making something for her room. We got it just 2 weeks ago. She made a growth chart for Allie! And it matches her room perfectly! It is so pretty. Here are some pictures! And I finally finished hanging things in her room. And we are finally hanging her new ceiling fan... so I will post more pics of her nursery soon!

Allie is doing great with baby food! Here are some recent pictures. She has done all the veggies and 4 fruits, just applesauce left! I think her favorites are squash, green beans, carrots, bananas and pears! She started off taking 3 days to finish a container. Then 2 days. Now she finishes a container in 1 day!!

Allie finally has her 4 month doctor appointment tomorrow. So I will update with her stats!!

We are off to Raleigh this weekend. I have a workshop Monday and Tuesday at NC State. So we are staying with Christa! I am excited for Christa and family to see Allie again. They only saw her once when she was about 3 weeks old! And David's aunt, uncle and cousins haven't met her yet... but they will on Sunday!!

Allie started green beans on July 7. She LOVES them! She finished a whole container in 2 days, rather then 3 days!! She is doing so well with baby food!

We went to the beach on July 10 to stay with David’s parents for the weekend. We left at about 5 am on Friday. Allie was so good on the ride there. She took a couple naps, but was happy when she was awake!! We had a nice time. We went on the beach Friday afternoon, played put-put Friday evening (Grandmommy gave Allie a bath and put her to bed), went to the aquarium Saturday and then shopped. We took Allie on lots of walks, she loves walking in her stroller! Then we drove home Sunday afternoon. Hopefully next time we can stay longer!

4 months old! Where does the time go?!

Allie is so much fun! Lately she just wants to stand. She smiles all the time. She also wants to sit up a lot. No more laying down all the time! Haven't gotten too many big laughs lately. But she is full of smiles!

Allie started squash on July 4. She loves it! She is already opening her mouth when she sees the spoon. She is doing so well with baby food! Tomorrow I think we are starting green beans. We'll see how that goes!

Here is a new pic of Allie in her float! She really loves the pool!

Allie is rolling both ways... but hasn't shown me yet! Daddy has seen it... but not me. I know she rolls belly to back... because she sleeps on her belly and when I wake up, she is on her back. So hopefully I'll see it soon!

We are heading to the beach on Friday! I'll be sure to take some pics!!

Oatmeal!

Allie started oatmeal tonight! We were planning to wait til Monday to start, but we just couldn't wait! It was so cute. Here are some pics and a short video! She seemed to like it... what she actually ate! 3 days of oatmeal... then on to some veggies!

Wow! Time is flying. Allie will be 4 months old a week from Monday! I actually have that day off, for the 4th. And we are going to start baby food! I couldn't be more excited! We are going to start with oatmeal mixed with formula. I plan on recording that moment for sure!

Allie is getting so big. She is so much fun. She has started laughing... and I don't mean giggling. I mean, really laughing. It is the sweetest thing. Haven't caught it on video yet. But I will!

Allie sleeps on her belly at night. She woke me up at 5 am, hungry, and she was on her back! She did this the other night too. So we have a roller! A shy one though... she won't do it in front of us yet. She gets close, but not fully over. Same from her back to her belly, very very close.

Of course, her hair keeps growing. Here is a cute little pic. I tried putting some up. Haha.

We are borrowing an exercauser from a friend... and Allie loves it! She will sit in there and play for a long time! Here is a little video...

I have been waiting to post these, because we wanted to surprise our families with pictures (Christa and Cheryle... they are on their way!). I had these taken on June 7. So Allie was just 3 months old the day before. A friend actually took these. She is soo talented. I know I am biased... but I think she is just gorgeous!

Allie really enjoys the pool. I take her in and she kicks her little legs. We went next door Sunday after my grandparents left. Needed some chill time!
